Text Box: CASE STUDY 1 - Better Utilisation of Time
A well known firm of accountants had a large clientele of wealthy, private clients whose tax affairs were handled by the partnership. They were located in the only one of the London Inns of Court that accepted non-legal firms. The partners were proud of this fact and also that the firm had been there for over 50 years. 
We were asked by the partners to assist them in marketing the firm's services to a wider range of people, with the intention of increasing the number of clients they had, as well as their profitability. 
We suggested many ways of achieving this - and these are now producing results. However, one simple recommendation has increased income per partner significantly. 
The location which the firm was so proud of wasn't universally popular with clients. Quite simply, there were never any free parking meters anywhere near their offices. Consequently clients would insist that meetings took place at their address, not that of the accountants. 
For £2,000 per year a parking space has now been rented in a local private car park for clients to leave their vehicles for as long as they need to. 
As basic as this may seem, the partnership now has most of their clients visiting their offices, thereby saving the partners hours of travel time and allowing them many more chargeable hours each.
